Growing up in Fresno, I would often tag along with my older brother to Tower Records. While looking through stacks of records, my bro took forever trying to decide what to buy. Album art caught my attention, and held it for hours, especially art from Kelly & Mouse. Those early, formative experiences at the record shop set things in motion for me as an artist.

During the 90's, when NYC Hip Hop made its way to Cali, I designed flyers for a DJ friend of mine; he would let me just do my thing. At that time, I saw a screen print gig poster hanging in the local, independent record store. It was Soundgarden and it was done by Coop. Bam! It was like bomb dropped on me—I loved it.

Looking back, I should have bought that poster. I was completely hooked on the poster’s underground look and feel. That poster captured my imagination, and from that point on, it was often in the back of my mind. As time went on I worked at different screen printing shops and ran my own for a while. Since then, I’ve committed myself to design, pouring my own feel and style into my craft. From California cultura to Cholo lettering and sludge music, to the influence of musical groups like that Melvins, my style is eclectic and uniquely my own.
